The clothes that come down the runway at Fashion Week are usually no reflection of what most men actually want to wear. The front row might gush and fawn over ‘the artistic and thoughtful juxtaposition of the refugee crisis and nostalgic British confectionary’, but the rest of us raises a collective eyebrow. Headdresses made of Kit Kat wrappers? Really? Thankfully, it isn’t all quite so abstract. New York Fashion Week – said to be the most commercial window in the industry calendar – has debuted a slew of instantly wearable looks that don’t look like an art student’s wet dream. Here’s our best in show.

We’ve seen plenty of interesting collaborations in the fashion world lately, but nothing as surprising as the next one. The renowned French luxury fashion brand  Louis Vuitton  has recently joined forces with the acclaimed American artist  Jeff Koons  to imagine a collection of handbags that’s nothing short of spectacular. Simply called  Masters , this eye catching collection shows off bold remixes of some of the world’s most iconic artworks in human history, covering classic LV designs.

The wise man’s wardrobe is built on cornerstones: the T-shirt for the beach (or the bar), a pair of Derbies for work (or a wedding), and the blazer for, well, pretty much everything. Despite menswear’s gradual drift from dandy to dressed-down, there remain those sartorial classics that never seem to lose their clout. The blazer is one such stalwart: it’s the piece you reach for when getting dressed to boss that job interview, for wooing the one that could be ‘the one’, or for any of life’s situations where it pays to look that little bit sharper.

Well, according to menswear etailer  Reem , there is. The firm, which stocks the likes of Calvin Klein, Scotch & Soda and Tommy Hilfiger Denim, surveyed 1,000 women to find out what they really want to see on a man’s back (and legs, and feet). Here are the stats that’ll keep you in good stead with the opposite sex.

We all know that a hefty price tag doesn’t automatically equate to a superior product. Nonetheless, there are still plenty of reasons to splash out on a spenny scent. For starters, due to the price, luxury fragrances tend to be produced in relatively small quantities and their distribution is often limited. This means you’re far less likely to bump into another man wearing exactly the same. What’s more, free of commercial constraints, many opt to use only the finest ingredients, and their creators are able to let rip creatively, offering a real – often quirky and original – alternative to everyday department store brands.
